In The Temple
Jason’s work with Temple Isaiah and The Collaborative includes Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday evening) and Havdala (Saturday evening) services, High Holidays and life events like Bar/Bat Mitzvahs & Weddings. He can sing at your simcha! Reform or Conservative. His focus alongside the liturgy is social justice. He is most concerned with helping those who, like himself, are in recovery from addiction (Jason has been sober since December 2010). He makes regular visits to Orange County Jails as a resource for prisoners.
In The Community
Jason has worked for a number of years with Music In Common, an organization which brings young people of diverse backgrounds together for discussion, songwriting and media production. musicincommon.org Although a lover of Israel (Jason married his wife, Ava Burton there in 2010) Jason is very much concerned at the plight of The Palestinian people and favors a 2 state solution. Frankly, he would just like to see the two parties work together for peace, whatever that takes.
